KERRY SUGGS, DIRECTOR OF KERRY’S SCHOOL OF DANCE STARTED THIS SCHOOL IN GA IN 1971. IT HAS OPERATED IN BARTOW COUNTY FOR 22 YEARS. WE STILL PRIDE OURSELVES IN THE INTRODUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT OF DANCE FOR THE VERY YOUNG TO THE YOUNG AT HEART.

THE SCHOOL OFFERS GRADED CLASSES WITH INDIVIDUAL ATTENTION IN A POSITIVE AND ENCOURAGING ATMOSPHERE. THE SCHOOL PROVIDES AN ENRICHING EXPERIENCE FOR THE STUDENT WHO DANCES ONCE OR TWICE A WEEK FOR THE SIMPLE PLEASURE OF IT, AS WELL AS THE PRE-PROFESSIONAL STUDENT ASPIRING TO A DANCE CAREER.

1. MOMMY AND ME AGES 18 MONTHS THRU 2 YEARS
$25.00 A MONTH 30 MINUTE CLASS ONCE A WEEK

2. PRE SCHOOL COMBINATION CLASS AGES 3 AND 4

CREATIVE MOVEMENT, BALLET, TAP, AND BASIC MOTOR SKILLS. MORE BALLET IS INTRODUCED IN THIS CLASS ALONG WITH BEGINNING BASIC TAP STEPS. THIS CLASS PERFORMS 2 ROUTINES IN THE SPRING RECITAL. ONLY ONE COSTUME REQUIRED.

$50.00 A MONTH 1 HOUR CLASS PER WEEK

3. BALLET, TAP, PRE-JAZZ COMBO CLASS: AGES 5 AND UP
A great introduction for young ones into the world of ballet, tap and jazz dance. This class teaches the basic technique of both ballet and tap while developing imagination, musicality, co-ordination, strength, flexibility and social skills. A half hour will be devoted to ballet and a half hour devoted to tap and jazz

$50.00 A MONTH THIS IS A 1 HOUR CLASS ONCE A WEEK  STRICTLY BEGINNERS

4. BEG/INT BALLET, TAP, JAZZ CLASS AGES 5 AND UP WITH EXPERIENCE

$50 A MONTH

5. INTERMEDIATE TAP/JAZZ/ BALLET COMBO CLASS..........GRADE SCHOOL AGES

HIP HOP A WEEKLY ONE HOUR CLASS:

A very popular dance form at this time, hip hop (also known as funk) builds strength and stamina.  Along with jazz technique, hip hop also incorporates body isolations which help build coordination and rhythm. Music used is contemporary and top 40.

Classes are $50.00 a month and are one hour long

ADVANCED BALLET AND POINT FOR TEENS

(Point is a continuation of ballet technique that is introduced only when a dancer has developed sufficient strength in the feet and legs necessary for this discipline.  Students under the age of 12 are not allowed in this class.  Permission is needed by the instructor for admission into pointe class.

MODERN

Modern dance incorporates both ballet and jazz technique.  Through modern choreography, the dancer tells the story of the music he/she is dancing to.  Along with developing strength, flexibility, control, and balance, emphasis is placed on emotional and expressive qualities.

TUESDAY 7:30 - 9:00

1 1/2 HOUR CLASS IS $65.00
